Role Summary

The IT Manager is a working manager who will supervise the internal Oxco IT team, currently made up of a Business Analyst and a Senior Application Analyst, ensuring the team delivers high-quality IT support aligned with Oxcos strategic objectives. This role reports directly to the CFO and requires deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Centralparticularly in Finance and Warehouse modulesto guide system modifications, reporting, and process improvements. The IT Manager will serve as a key liaison between IT and executive leadership, maintaining regular engagement with each member of the Executive Leadership Team to stay informed of departmental activities where IT support is needed. The IT Manager is responsible for selection and management of 3rd party consultants to ensure maximum value is delivered.  The position demands strong leadership, project prioritization skills, and the ability to interact confidently with executive-level management.

Functions/Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports, providing direction on daily tasks, project assignments, and professional growth.
  • Prioritize team tasks and projects while maintaining awareness of larger organizational initiatives, ensuring IT efforts align with business strategy and deliver timely results.
  • Serve as the primary IT liaison to the Executive Leadership Team; plan and conduct regular meetings with each member to stay abreast of departmental activities where IT support is needed.
  • Oversee the development, documentation, and delivery of system training for users across all departments, ensuring effective adoption of Business Central and related applications.
  • Lead the identification and documentation of process improvements across sales, purchasing, production, warehousing, and finance, leveraging Business Central capabilities to drive efficiency.
  • Direct the design and development of reports and reporting tools in Business Central, SSRS, Excel, and Power BI to promote efficiency, improve trend response, and expand data accessibility.
  • Provide expert-level support and strategic guidance on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with particular emphasis on Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable) and Warehouse (Inventory, Manufacturing, Warehousing) modules.
  • Manage IT project requirements-including inputs, outputs, data security, and testing-while coordinating with third-party providers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Oversee support tickets and vendor relationships to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement of IT services.
  • Collaborate with product management, supply chain, production, quality, and sales to define and implement system modifications that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy.
  • Raise any issues or concerns that arise during day-to-day work to the CFO or President.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities, particularly the integration of financial and inventory tracking systems, ensuring data integrity and operational continuity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • 4-year college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with deep expertise in Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable) and Warehouse (Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Inventory) modules.
  • 3+ years' experience in a supervisory or team-lead role, managing IT analysts or similar technical staff.
  • Experience interacting with executive-level management and presenting IT strategies, project updates, and system recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, particularly integrating financial and inventory tracking systems, is a plus.
  • 3-4 years' experience in Project Management, including defining requirements, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
  • Knowledge of how various systems interact and how changes in operations, the environment, and other conditions will affect outcomes.
  • Experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and familiarity with Power BI and Excel reporting tools.

Skills:

  • Computer - Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word; advanced user of Excel; comfortable with Power BI, SSRS, and other reporting tools.
  • Leadership - Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a small technical team; delegate effectively while remaining hands-on.
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical executive audiences.
  • Problem Solving - Work independently and with others to resolve complex system and process issues.
