POSITION SUMMARY
Position: IT Manager

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Maintain and support company network infrastructure including Ubiquiti firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs, internet connectivity, and network monitoring.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments including user accounts, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, licensing, MFA, virtual machines, storage, networking, backups, and access controls.
  • Support Windows Server and IBM iSeries / AS400 environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file shares, terminal access, printer sessions, ODBC connectivity, and related business systems.
  • Monitor network and system performance, troubleshoot outages, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across office, manufacturing, warehouse, and remote-user environments.
  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, phones, mobile devices, and other business technology.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding including account creation, permissions, MFA setup, email access, equipment deployment, and account deactivation.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, patch management, firewall administration, phishing prevention, vulnerability remediation, backup validation, and security documentation.
  • Maintain IT documentation including network diagrams, IP addressing, VLANs, firewall rules, equipment inventory, software licensing, user procedures, and support records.
  • Support ERP systems, business applications, reporting tools, database connectivity, and related integrations as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, internet providers, software providers, cloud providers, ERP support teams, and cabling/security contractors.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, server upgrades, network improvements, Wi-Fi optimization, structured cabling, backup solutions, surveillance systems, and access control systems.
  • Provide responsive, professional, and customer-focused technical support to employees at all levels of the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
NETWORK amp; SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION
  • Maintain and support company network infrastructure including Ubiquiti firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs, internet connectivity, and network monitoring
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, licensing, MFA, and user account management
  • Assist with administration and monitoring of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking, backups, and access controls
  • Support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file shares, permissions, and backup systems
  • Support IBM iSeries / AS400 connectivity including terminal access, printer sessions, user access, and ODBC/database connectivity
END-USER amp; PLANT IT SUPPORT
  • Serve as the primary IT contact for employee technical support across office and manufacturing operations
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, phones, and related business technology
  • Support wired and wireless connectivity for office users, manufacturing equipment, handheld devices, and plant-floor systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, login access, file access, and connectivity issues to minimize operational downtime
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding including account setup, permissions, MFA, equipment deployment, and account deactivation
MANUFACTURING amp; FACILITY TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT
  • Support network-connected manufacturing equipment, industrial devices, HMIs, printers, scanners, and related production systems
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Automation teams to troubleshoot machine communication and connectivity issues
  • Maintain video surveillance systems, security cameras, badge access systems, and door access controls
  • Configure user access permissions and troubleshoot connectivity or hardware issues related to facility security systems
CYBERSECURITY amp; COMPLIANCE
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, patch management, firewall rules, phishing prevention, vulnerability remediation, backups, and MFA enforcement
  • Support network segmentation, security best practices, and backup validation processes
  • Help ensure IT systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with company policies and operational requirements
DOCUMENTATION amp; CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Maintain documentation including network diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, equipment inventory, software licensing, support procedures, and troubleshooting records
  • Monitor network and system performance and recommend infrastructure improvements to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency
  • Assist with IT projects including network upgrades, Wi-Fi improvements, cloud migrations, structured cabling, server upgrades, backup improvements, and technology rollouts
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, software providers, internet providers, ERP support teams, and security contractors as needed
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration, systems administration, or hands-on IT support, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting Ubiquiti networking infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services including networking, virtual machines, storage, identity, and security concepts
  • Basic understanding of IBM iSeries / AS400 connectivity, terminal emulation, printers, and database connectivity
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, hardware, software, cloud infrastructure, and end-user support
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals including MFA, endpoint protection, patching, backups, phishing prevention, and access controls
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience within manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environments
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, SQL Server, IBM DB2/400, reporting tools, or business database environments
  • Experience with structured cabling, fiber, Wi-Fi planning, network segmentation, surveillance systems, and access control technologies
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role is based on-site within a manufacturing facility and requires regular movement between office areas, server/network rooms, warehouses, and plant-floor environments. The position may require occasional lifting of IT equipment up to 40 pounds and occasional after-hours support related to maintenance, upgrades, outages, or emergency production issues. Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures within manufacturing areas should be expected.
