Cardinal Points Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Tech Assistant for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging center located in Raleigh, NC.

Position Status: PRN

Schedule: "as needed"

Location: Midtown (1212 Cedarhurst Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609)


JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:

  • Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
  • Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
  • Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
  • Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience required.

EDUCATION:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
