Job description

About the role
We're hiring a Technical Sourcer to fuel our most critical hiring needs across hardware, silicon, and AI engineering. You'll partner directly with recruiters and hiring managers to build pipelines of exceptional, hard-to-find technical talent - from design verification and RTL engineers to ML and systems software. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves the hunt: finding the people most teams can't, and getting them excited to talk to us.
What you'll do
  • Build and own top-of-funnel pipelines for technical roles, with a focus on niche hardware/silicon and AI/ML engineering profiles
  • Develop creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies - LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, conferences, patents/publications, Boolean and X-ray search, referrals, and community networks
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and translate them into precise candidate profiles and search strategies
  • Run compelling, personalized outreach that earns responses from passive senior talent and converts cold contacts into engaged candidates
  • Conduct initial outreach calls to assess interest, motivation, and high-level fit before handoff to recruiters
  • Maintain meticulous data hygiene in our ATS (Greenhouse) and report on pipeline health, conversion rates, and sourcing effectiveness
  • Build talent maps of target companies and competitors to inform proactive hiring strategy
  • Continuously experiment with new tools, channels, and messaging to improve response and conversion rates
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of sourcing or full-cycle recruiting experience, with a track record of filling technical/engineering roles
  • Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates through advanced techniques (Boolean/X-ray, GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
  • Strong technical fluency - you can speak credibly to engineers and quickly learn new technical domains (bonus: familiarity with semiconductors, ASIC/SoC, design verification, or AI/ML)
  • Excellent written communication; you write outreach that people actually want to reply to
  • Highly organized and data-driven, comfortable managing many candidates and priorities at once
  • Experience with Greenhouse (or a comparable ATS) and modern sourcing tooling
  • Experience sourcing for hardware, silicon, or AI infrastructure companies

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
California pay range
$130,000-$165,000 USD
Compensation
Final offers depend on level, location, and skills relevant to the role. Additional compensation: equity grant per company guidelines; medical / dental / vision; 401(k); standard PTO.
Visa Sponsorship
DensityAI sponsors qualified candidates for H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3, and other employment-based visas, and we welcome applicants on F-1 OPT and STEM-OPT. Work authorization is required at start; we provide immigration support to secure or transfer status.
Export Controls
Aspects of this role may involve access to information subject to U.S. export controls (EAR/ITAR). We may discuss licensing or scope adjustments during the interview.
Equal Opportunity
DensityAI is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age (40+), sexual orientation, military or veteran status, pregnancy, or any other status protected by law. We comply with the California CROWN Act and provide reasonable accommodations on request.
