Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Technical Manager who will join a leadership team for a portfolio of contracts and their supporting technical infrastructure. The technical manager will be the senior trusted partner on technical topics, providing substantive expertise to the leadership team and mentorship to portfolio personnel. This manager will be responsible for high-level vision and design of infrastructure as well as leading its tactical implementation. Appetite for innovation and exploring the realm of the possible is required for success. This position will include a hybrid work schedule, contingent on continued successful deployment and maintenance of infrastructure and mentorship of personnel.

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for design and implementation of technical infrastructure to support research, includes both financial and tactical aspects of infrastructure. Includes meticulous logistical planning and tracking.
  • Responsible for oversight of IT resources, including personnel. Must provide guidance on priorities for personnel, oversight and training on task execution, and general mentorship. Responsible for engagement with broader corporate technical resources when appropriate.
  • Responsible for procurement of all resources required to support technical infrastructure. Responsible for developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for briefing technical solutions to Clients, including describing technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Responsible for navigating Client approval processes for solutions, including preparing documentation in Client required formats.
  • Responsible for standard operating procedures for infrastructure, including written documentation and training for all personnel utilizing the capabilities.
  • Responsible for providing backup to Program Manager for contracts associated with infrastructure, including maintaining and expanding Client relationships and filing all contract required artifacts at Client and corporate level.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in-scope TS/SCI clearance with poly.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical operations or targeting research, ideally including OSINT suites and command line tools.
  • 10+ years of substantive experience in cyber security and/or great power competition topics.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational plans, including carrying new concepts through idea, design, implementation, and O&M.
  • Proven experience maintaining documentation and tracking with a high-level of detail. Must love spreadsheets and advanced excel skills are preferred.
  • Experience identifying system failures, documenting issues objectively, and developing proactive solutions.
  • Experience briefing senior-level Client managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in technical operations, including pen testing and PCAP analysis.
  • Experience managing administrative aspect of operations, including budgets, approvals, and financial paperwork.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, including preparing diagrams of system logic and translating complex topics into pithy, non-technical bullets.
  • Experience in managing personnel and mentoring junior team members.

Work Environment

  • Travel between local worksites will be required.
  • Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
  • Limited non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends may be needed.
