Position Overview

Hanwha Defense USA (HDUSA) develops and supplies advanced ground and sea combat systems to strengthen the capabilities of U.S. and allied forces. As HDUSA expands its manufacturing, engineering, and program execution footprint across multiple defense portfolios, the company is investing in enterprise systems that support compliant U.S. Government contracting, scalable manufacturing operations, and modern digital transformation initiatives.

HDUSA is seeking an Information Systems (IS) Manager to lead the development, implementation, governance, and sustainment of the company’s enterprise systems, with a focus on ERP platforms (Deltek Costpoint and SAP), business intelligence solutions, automation technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities. This position will serve as the primary internal owner for ERP and business system success, ensuring that HDUSA’s processes, data structures, security posture, and system integrations meet both operational efficiency needs and stringent DoD regulatory requirements.

The IS Manager will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Contracts, Program Management, and external system integrators to build a strong digital foundation and support HDUSA’s rapid growth into full-rate production defense programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the implementation, enhancement, and sustainment of HDUSA’s enterprise resource planning systems, including Deltek Costpoint and/or SAP.
  • Own the end-to-end ERP configuration, governance, process design, and integration strategy across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Manage external System Integrators and consulting partners to ensure delivery quality, adherence to requirements, and scalable system design.
  • Establish and enforce governance processes, change control procedures, data standards, and configuration integrity.

Business Process Design & Optimization

  • Develop, document, and implement standardized business processes and procedures across the organization to support efficient and compliant operations.
  • Translate business needs into system requirements, data models, and workflow designs.
  • Partner with functional leaders to create repeatable, auditable, scalable operational processes for engineering, manufacturing, procurement, program execution, and financial management.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to system usage, data quality, and workflow efficiency.

Business Intelligence, Reporting & AI Strategy

  • Lead the development of HDUSA’s business intelligence (BI) ecosystem, including dashboards, analytics tools, operational reporting, and data governance structures.
  • Drive strategy and implementation of AI and automation, including predictive analytics, workflow automation, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and decision-support tools.
  • Ensure data models support executive visibility, program performance metrics, supply chain health, cost analysis, and manufacturing readiness assessments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational excellence and strategic insights.

GovCon, Compliance & Audit Alignment

  • Ensure systems and processes support compliance with DCAA, DCMA, DFARS, FAR, and CAS requirements.
  • Oversee ERP alignment to compliant cost accounting practices, indirect rate structures, labor charging/timekeeping, purchasing controls, material management, property control, and contract cost accumulation.
  • Support internal and external audits through system evidence, data integrity validation, and documentation of workflows and internal controls.
  • Define and maintain system access, segregation of duties, and audit traceability in accordance with U.S. Government regulatory standards.

Security, FOCI & Access Control

  • Ensure enterprise systems adhere to CUI, ITAR, export control, and FOCI-mitigated access restrictions, including appropriate segregation of foreign national access and administrative rights.
  • Partner with IT Security to define and maintain secure user roles, privileges, logging, and monitoring.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication

  • Collaborate with leadership and functional teams to prioritize system enhancements, allocate resources, and resolve issues.
  • Develop program schedules, risk registers, governance cadences, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on digital systems strategy, scalability needs, and technical constraints.

Sustainment & Long-Term Capability Growth

  • Establish and maintain a long-term support model, including user training, documentation, troubleshooting, and upgrade planning.
  • Plan and guide future system expansion, including manufacturing modules, quality management, logistics, MMAS readiness, EVMS integrations, and digital thread initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives under aggressive schedules.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • US Citizen and ability to obtain a government clearance

Preferred

  • Experience supporting DoD or aerospace/defense programs, including exposure to FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA, and DCMA requirements.
