Position:  Infrastructure Management - Level II

Location: Rosslyn, VA, 

Clearance:  Secret

The Infrastructure Manager Level II is a mid-level IT professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure systems. This role involves configuring advanced systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the organization's infrastructure. The Level II specialist collaborates with IT teams to support enterprise projects and provides technical guidance to junior staff.  Duties are:
  • Design, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices to support organizational needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Maintain system security by configuring firewalls, access controls, and encryption protocols.
  • Document infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  •  Collaborate with IT teams to integrate infrastructure systems with other technologies.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and end users. Stay updated on emerging infrastructure technologies and recommend improvements.
Professional Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with enterprise storage systems and backup solutions.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or CompTIA Server+, are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
