IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator

Job Summary:

The IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the company’s technology environment, including 100+ PCs, the server room, Epicor POS systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and third-party vendor/ data relationships. This role ensures uptime, protects company data, and supports staff with reliable, secure technology.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Evaluate company requirements and design strategic plans to support growth, efficiency, and scalability.

• Design, implement, and maintain cyber security policies, safeguards, and procedures that protect critical information, systems, and networks.

• Stay vigilant regarding evolving cyber threats and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements, including guidelines from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF 2.0) and Cri Profile v2.0 for threat identification.

• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with vendors and third-party partners, while ensuring systems uptime and efficient budget management.

• Be available after hours to answer calls and emails.

• Troubleshoot POS terminals, databases, scan guns, printers, and integration issues.

• Manage POS updates, patches, and version upgrades with minimal disruption.

Essential Functions:

• Knowledge of POS systems.

• Excellent understanding of related hardware and software including server application’s networking environments, firewall, and internet applications, etc.

• Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.

• Vigilant in cyber security and cyber improvements as this relates to laws and insurance

• Handles issues and solutions related to implementing policies and safeguards to protect information, systems, and networks within a complex organization. 

• Defines and implements policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and costeffective information resources planning, acquisition and cyber/computer security in support of LDM Retail’s mission and vision statements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Required:

• 3-5+ years of experience in IT systems administrator or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals.

• Experience supporting Epicor Eagle POS or similar retail POS systems.

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools (endpoint protection, MFA, firewalls, and patching.)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a corporate and retail environment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical staff.

Preferred:

• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

• Familiarity with PCI compliance and retail cybersecurity standards.

• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party integrations.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certifications.

Physical Requirements:

• Routine office environment.
