Job description

Mistras Group, Inc. is seeking a Report writer in the NDT field (Non-Destructive Testing) is a professional who reviews inspection data from NDT technicians and prepares detailed technical reports documenting the results of those inspections. The role focuses on accurate documentation, compliance, and communication of inspection findings rather than performing the physical testing itself.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviews NDT inspection data from technicians (UT, RT, MT, PT, etc.)
  • Compiles inspection reports for clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies
  • Documents defects, measurements, and findings
  • Ensures reports meet industry codes and standards
  • Organizes photos, scans, and test results
  • Maintains inspection records and databases
  • Works closely with NDT technicians, inspectors, and project managers

Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong technical writing
  • Knowledge of inspection codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS)
  • Familiarity with NDT methods
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with inspection software and databases
  • Ability to interpret technician notes and inspection data
