Job description

At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it’s work worth doing. If you’re driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.

Why This Role, Why Now

Manufacturing & Q is where Lilly's science becomes medicine. It's one of the most complex, specialized, and rapidly scaling parts of the organization and Talent Acquisition is a critical enabler of that growth. This role offers high visibility, real impact, and the opportunity to build deep expertise in one of the most dynamic talent markets in the pharmaceutical industry. You'll work alongside a team that is committed to bringing the best talent to Lilly.

What You'll Do
  • Build deep relationships with hiring managers and business leaders- understand their work, their goals, and what makes someone truly successful in their organization
  • Translate business strategy into talent strategy, crafting recruitment approaches that are tailored to each team's unique needs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process- guiding decisions, leading expectations, and navigating complexity with confidence
  • Engage and influence leaders at all levels, representing Talent Acquisition with credibility and clarity
  • Deliver Exceptional Talent
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for our greenfield M&Q site in Huntsville, Alabama
  • Develop and implement proactive, creative sourcing strategies that go beyond job postings to find the specialized talent M&Q needs
  • Present highly qualified, thoughtfully curated candidate slates that reflect a genuine understanding of role requirements
  • Lead offer negotiations and closing conversations with skill and precision
  • Deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every candidate and hiring manager you partner with
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions
  • Track and communicate key recruiting metrics — pipeline health, time to fill, offer acceptance — with clarity and confidence
  • Use market intelligence and competitive data to inform sourcing strategies and provide guidance on talent availability and compensation
  • Proactively identify patterns and gaps in the talent pipeline, and bring forward solutions before problems surface
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment practices based on data and outcomes
  • Champion the Candidate & Lilly's Brand
  • Represent Lilly's mission, values, and employer brand with authenticity and passion at every touchpoint
  • Coach hiring managers on best practices in attraction, interviewing, and selection to elevate the quality of every hire
  • Ensure compliance and consistency throughout the talent acquisition process
  • Partner with key customers in the business and HR to remove barriers and move with agility
What You Bring

This is a role for an experienced recruiter who thinks like a talent advisor and, someone who gets curious about the work, earns the trust of leaders, uses data to tell a story and drive decisions. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, love solving hard talent problems, and want to be part of the founding team of our Lilly Huntsville site, this is the opportunity for you.

Required
  • A minimum of a high school diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting technical, scientific or manufacturing talent
  • Strong business acumen and genuine curiosity about the functions you support
  • Proven ability to build trust with senior leaders and operate independently in ambiguous situations
  • A proactive, solutions-first approach where you identify gaps and bring ideas, not just problems
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in crafting compelling outreach and navigating complex conversations
  • A data-driven mindset- you know how to use metrics to tell a story and influence stakeholders
  • A collaborative spirit with a track record of sharing insights, lifting teammates, and winning together
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1
Preferred
  • Experience in recruiting for a new business or start-up
  • Experience in recruiting for a regulated industry- pharma, biotech, chemical, industrial
