Senior Manager, Technical Program Management

About the Role

MX is seeking a highly effective and operationally rigorous Senior Manager, Technical Program Management to lead and continuously evolve the operating system that drives engineering delivery across our product portfolio. This leader will ensure work flows seamlessly from strategy to planning, execution, and release-enabling predictable, transparent, and high-quality outcomes.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a blend of delivery excellence, operational leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional influence. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) leadership teams to improve delivery performance, increase engineering velocity, and establish scalable portfolio management practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building systems, simplifying complexity, and creating alignment across teams while maintaining a relentless focus on execution.

What You'll DoLead and Evolve MX's Engineering Delivery Operating Model
  • Drive the continuous improvement of MX's delivery framework, ensuring company strategy is effectively translated into predictable product releases.
  • Establish and maintain planning, dependency management, risk management, and release governance practices across Product, Platform, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to support annual and long-range capacity planning efforts, aligning engineering investments with business priorities.
  • Develop scalable operating rhythms that improve transparency, accountability, and execution consistency across the organization.
Improve Engineering Velocity and Delivery Effectiveness
  • Implement and mature engineering intelligence capabilities that provide visibility into delivery performance, investment allocation, and team efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering leaders to identify and remove delivery bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and improve predictability.
  • Establish standards for delivery tooling, Jira architecture, and reporting frameworks to improve data quality and organizational alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase engineering effectiveness without sacrificing quality.
Lead and Develop the TPM Function
  • Manage and develop a team of Technical Program Managers while fostering a culture of accountability, technical depth, and operational excellence.
  • Define career development paths, competencies, and best practices for the TPM organization.
  • Establish TPMs as trusted strategic partners to Engineering and Product leadership.
  • Coach TPMs to proactively identify risks, manage complex dependencies, and influence outcomes across teams.
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align roadmaps, priorities, and execution plans across multiple product lines.
  • Facilitate collaboration across technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Translate complex technical initiatives into clear, actionable updates for executive leadership.
  • Ensure risks, trade-offs, and dependencies are surfaced early and managed effectively.
Portfolio Reporting and Operational Excellence
  • Lead portfolio planning, forecasting, and executive reporting processes.
  • Establish meaningful delivery metrics and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive accountability through operational rigor, tooling maturity, and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide leadership visibility into delivery health, execution risks, and organizational capacity.
Support Global Delivery Collaboration
  • Partner closely with TPM and Engineering leaders in India to ensure consistent delivery practices and operational alignment.
  • Help maintain a unified global delivery model while empowering regional teams to execute effectively.
  • Establish standards, governance, and processes that scale across geographies.
Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Operations, Product Operations, Engineering Leadership, or related functions.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing Technical Program Managers or similar roles.
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex technical programs spanning Product, Platform, Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling operational processes within high-growth SaaS, fintech, or technology organizations.
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives that improve execution, alignment, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, portfolio management, and software development lifecycles.
