Job description


Ford is pioneering the future of safe, seamless, and scalable automated driving. As the Technical Program Manager (TPM) for BlueCruise & Situational Awareness, you will own the end-to-end delivery of one Ford's most well known hands-free driver assistance system features. This is a high-impact Individual Contributor role where you will facilitate program strategy, orchestrate cross-domain development and integration, and drive execution across Systems, Software, and Verification & Validation (V&V). You will serve as the technical thread connecting the end-to-end system, while actively managing critical dependencies with partner domains.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
End-to-End Ownership
  • Define and maintain the delivery roadmap for BlueCruise and Situational Awareness features from concept through post-launch releases and field monitoring.
  • Align roadmaps to critical Platform & Program deliverables, Supplier software integration and validation timelines, and internal develpoment gates
  • Drive solutions to cross-functional, cross-domain risks and dependencies within Ford and with supplier partners.
  • Proactively identify integration risks, negotiate trade-offs, and escalate blockers with clear technical context and recommended paths forward.
  • Present technical development status, risks, and recommendations to senior ADAS, Platform, and Program leadership
  • Own delivery and health metrics and drive corrective actions with data-backed rationale
Systems, Software & V&V Integration
  • Serve as the technical integrator across the BlueCruise stack
  • Partner with Systems Engineering teams to ensure requirements traceability, architecture alignment, and interfaces are mature and delivered on-time with quality
  • Drive V&V strategy across HIL, breadboards, and benches to support with key roadmap delivery
  • Coordinate with Software Engineering and Supplier partners to manage release strategy and content
Stakeholder Alignment & Executive Communication
  • Act as the single point for BlueCruise and Situational Awareness delivery status, risks, and roadmap decisions.
  • Translate complex technical trade-offs into clear, actionable insights for engineering leads, platform/program leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Foster a culture of safety, retrospective driven action, and continuous improvement across the delivery ecosystem.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of Technical Program/Project Management experience in automotive, ADAS, robotics, or complex embedded software systems
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end delivery of safety-critical systems across systems engineering, software development, and V&V
  • Deep understanding of ADAS architecture, sensor fusion, perception/prediction pipelines, and vehicle control interfaces
  • Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across mechanical, electrical, and software domains without direct authority
  • Strong command of Systems and Software delivery frameworks; experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Exceptional analytical, systems thinking, and executive communication skills

  • Master of Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Direct experience with BlueCruise, Super Cruise, comparable SAE Level 2/2+ hands-free systems, or Level 3/4 systems
  • Hands-on exposure to Powertrain and Motion Control integration for ADAS control loops
  • Knowledge of SOTIF (ISO 21448), Cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Experience leading program transformation, metrics-driven delivery, or scaling engineering teams in fast-paced tech/automotive environments
