About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Technical Lead to lead the design, implementation, integration, and support of Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This role will provide technical leadership across Oracle HCM Cloud engagements, working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and clients to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing HCM solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in HCM integrations, data conversions, reporting, Fast Formulas, and cloud technologies while ensuring successful project delivery and maximizing business value.
In This Role You Will
  • Lead the technical design, implementation, and support of Oracle Cloud HCM solutions across multiple client engagements.
  • Manage end-to-end data conversion activities from legacy systems to Oracle HCM Cloud for global organizations.
  • Design, develop, and support inbound and outbound integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and third-party applications.
  • Provide technical leadership for Oracle HCM Cloud implementations, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Configure and support Oracle HCM technical components including HCM Data Loader (HDL), Spreadsheet Loader, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, and OTBI reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle HCM Fast Formulas across various HCM modules to support complex business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support system testing activities, including integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment validation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to integrations, reporting, data conversions, and customizations.
  • Design and implement web service integrations utilizing Oracle HCM Cloud SOAP, REST, and ATOM services.
  • Configure and support workflow, approvals, personalization, and customization requirements.
  • Partner with offshore and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Develop ad hoc and operational reporting solutions using BI Publisher and OTBI to support business decision-making.
  • Recommend Oracle Cloud HCM best practices that support scalability, performance, and business growth.

Work Model
Remote - United States, with occasional milestone-based travel to Des Moines, Iowa.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience implementing Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing Oracle Cloud HCM as a Technical Lead or Architect.
  • Expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud integrations, conversions, reporting, and technical development.
  • Extensive experience with:
    • HCM Data Loader (HDL)
    • Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL)
    • HCM Extracts
    • BI Publisher
    • OTBI Reporting
    • SOAP, REST, and ATOM Web Services
  • Strong experience developing Fast Formulas across Oracle HCM modules.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM customizations, personalization, approvals, and workflow configurations.
  • Experience leading data migration and conversion efforts from legacy HCM systems.
  • Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting services or software implementation organization.

  • Exposure to enterprise architecture and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading distributed and offshore delivery teams.
  • Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience implementing large-scale SaaS HCM solutions for Fortune 500 organizations.
  • Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $64,734 - $90,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
