Job description


Position Summary
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the Systems Architecture & Engineering (SAE) organization is responsible for driving execution of complex, system-level initiatives supporting Vertiv's most strategic customers and architectures. This role ensures alignment between system architecture intent, customer commitments, and cross-product execution across global product lines.
The TPM partners closely with Lead Systems Architects and functional leaders to translate architecture, requirements, and customer engagements into actionable, disciplined programs with clear ownership, schedules, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own execution of system-level programs spanning AC power, DC power, controls, and energy storage architectures

  • Translate system architectures and customer requirements into integrated program plans and milestones

  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product Lines, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain

  • Establish and maintain program cadence, including schedules, dependencies, risk registers, and change control

  • Serve as the execution lead for strategic and hyperscale customer programs in partnership with SAE leadership

  • Identify, track, and drive mitigation of technical, schedule, and organizational risks

  • Ensure alignment between customer commitments, Vertiv system architectures, and product roadmaps

  • Support executive reviews, customer program reviews, and architecture readiness milestones

  • Drive standardization and repeatability of program management practices within SAE

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline)

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or complex infrastructure programs

  • Experience managing cross-functional, multi-product, and global engineering initiatives

  • Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure systems

  • Proven ability to operate with executive visibility and accountability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center or AI infrastructure customers

  • Familiarity with system-level architecture, integration, and validation

  • Experience working across global product line organizations

  • PMP or equivalent program management certification

  • Background in power systems, UPS, DC power, controls, or energy storage
