Job description

Technical Product Manager โ€“ AI Systems

Remote (San Francisco)

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to help shape AI-powered products from the ground up. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll work closely with engineering and AI teams to define how intelligent systems behave in production.

You'll sit at the intersection of product, engineering and AI, translating model capabilities into reliable, scalable user experiences while balancing quality, latency, cost and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end AI system requirements, from model capability through to user impact.
  • Translate technical constraints and evaluation results into clear product decisions.
  • Partner with ML, backend and mobile engineers on system design, evaluation and iteration.
  • Define evaluation frameworks using offline metrics, online experiments and human feedback.
  • Write clear product specifications and drive delivery through effective prioritisation.
  • Own product quality, ensuring AI systems are reliable, predictable and trusted.

Experience

  • Strong technical foundation in computer science, system design and modern AI systems.
  • Experience working on AI-powered products, particularly LLM-based applications.
  • Understanding of model evaluation, prompt or pipeline iteration, and AI limitations such as hallucinations and drift.
  • Proven experience delivering complex technical products in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Strong judgement, communication skills and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving environments.

If you're excited by building AI products where technical decisions directly shape user experience, we'd love to hear from you.
