Primary Purpose

Oversee all operations concerning production and manufacturing of Flynn product in SLC. Managing and oversee all key departments within manufacturing group, included but not limited to quality, glazing operation, ACM operation, sheet metal operations, logistics and maintenance.

Secondary Purpose

Communication bridge between Manufacturing Shop, Salt Lake branch and Flynn Group of Companies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all staffing within SLC manufacturing.
  • Training and Coaching Manufacturing Department Managers in best practices and execution of daily tasks.
  • Oversee the production schedules for all manufacturing departments, Glazing, ACM, Sheet Metal.
  • Oversee the Coordination of production between shop and Project Management.
  • Oversee the Coordination of production between shop and External clients.
  • Ensure timely delivery and review of key reports with recommendations and action plans for improved performance.
  • Resolves variances by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Oversee Quality Control and Assurance throughout all SLC manufacturing.
  • Oversee the Maintenance program and Machine integrity throughout all SLC manufacturing.
  • Ensure weekly review of all SLC operations concerning manufacturing with quantitative and qualitative reports provided.
  • Create, build, and review budgets, resources, machinery & big picture planning for SLC Manufacturing.
  • Contributes to team growth through promoting and building a culture of education and training.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience within a Manufacturing or Construction setting
  • Experience in managing teams of 30 people or more
  • Experience in unitized glazing and/or metal panel fabrication
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience working in a fast‑paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and interpersonal communication
  • Experience in data analysis, descriptive statistics, and data management
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Software; CAD experience is a plus
