As we continue to scale our operations, optimize our systems, and manage a robust portfolio of premium multi-media rights and corporate sponsorships, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Director of Ticket Operations to join our growing team.
Role Summary
Crimson Brand Partners is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our ticket operations team as the Director of Ticket Operations. This pivotal role is responsible for managing all aspects of ticketing operations for athletic and live events while contributing to the overall success of the organization. The Director manages all operational functions for ticketed events, including ticket sales administration, inventory management, distribution, revenue collection, customer service, box office operations, reporting, and event-day execution. This position serves as the primary ticketing operations leader and works closely with Ticket Sales & Service, Premium, Marketing, Finance, Operations, venue partners, and university stakeholders to maximize revenue, enhance the fan experience, and ensure operational excellence. The Director will oversee full-time and part-time ticket operations staff while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, financial accountability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ticket Operations Direction: Oversee and manage all aspects of ticket operations for athletic and live events, including football, men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, and other ticketed events. Develop and execute ticketing policies designed to optimize revenue, drive attendance, and maximize fan engagement. Monitor ticket inventory, pricing structures, seat manifests, and product availability to ensure an optimal fan experience and maximize revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Internal Processes & Systems: Lead and manage the ticket operations staff, including full-time employees, part-time personnel, interns, and event-day staff. Provide ongoing training, guidance, and professional development opportunities while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Establish performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service: Champion a customer-first approach across all ticket operations functions, ensuring exceptional service for fans, donors, season ticket holders, sponsors, and internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain best practices for customer engagement and satisfaction while effectively resolving escalated ticketing issues and service concerns.
  • Box Office & Event Operations: Direct box office operations, including staffing, scheduling, cash handling procedures, will call operations, ticket distribution, event access, and event-day troubleshooting. Ensure seamless event execution through collaboration with venue operations, security personnel, marketing and sponsorship teams, and third-party vendors. Implement strong financial controls and reconciliation processes to maintain the accuracy and security of ticketing transactions.
  • Technology & Systems Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for ticketing platforms and related technologies, including Paciolan, Seat Geek, Ballena, and other integrated systems. Leverage technology to manage ticket fulfillment, inventory, reporting, and customer accounts. Remain current on industry trends and emerging technologies and implement innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance the fan experience.
  • Sales, Service and Marketing Support: Partner closely with Ticket Sales & Service, Premium, and Marketing teams to develop and implement ticket sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and revenue-generating initiatives. Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns designed to increase ticket sales, attendance, and customer retention. Assist with inventory planning and fulfillment for season tickets, groups, premium products, and special events.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all applicable NCAA, Big 12 Conference, University of Utah, and Crimson Brand Partners ticketing policies, procedures, and regulations. Conduct ticket operations in a manner that supports straightforward generation of regular reports related to ticket sales, attendance, revenue performance, inventory utilization, and operational metrics for leadership and departmental stakeholders. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all ticketing data and reporting systems.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a ticket sales, ticket operations, or live event environment. Prior experience with a professional or collegiate sports organization is a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) and primary ticketing systems. Preference given to candidates experienced with Paciolan.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with fans, clients, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for home events and other organizational obligations.
