Job Summary
Truck Cab Manufacturers builds custom aluminum truck cabs and bodies for customers across North America. Our work is low-volume, high-mix, and engineer-to-orderโ€”nearly every project is unique. Accurate technical information is critical to everything we do, from engineering and purchasing to production and quality.
We are seeking an Technical Operations Coordinator to serve as the steward of that information throughout the organization. This role combines technical document review, ERP/MRP data management, bill-of-material auditing, and ownership of our corrective action tracking process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and persistent. They enjoy working with technical information, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring important tasks are completed. This is not a management position, but it is a role with significant ownership and visibility across the company.
Engineering or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Data Management
  • Review incoming customer CAD files (SolidWorks, STEP, DWG, PDF, and related formats) using eDrawings and other viewing tools.
  • Determine the appropriate disposition of incoming engineering files, including:
    • Inclusion in production job packets
    • Quality inspection requirements
    • Engineering reference documentation
    • Archival or historical reference
  • Research prior customer orders to identify existing designs, revisions, and historical documentation.
  • Package customer files, supporting documentation, and research findings for the engineering team, allowing projects to move forward efficiently and consistently.
ERP/MRP Data Integrity
  • Perform audits of bills of material (BOMs) to identify inconsistencies, allocation issues, hardware discrepancies, and data quality concerns.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify patterns, outliers, and opportunities for correction.
  • Create and manage adjustment packages to resolve identified issues.
  • Support ongoing data accuracy initiatives within the company's ERP/MRP system.
Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Coordination
  • Own and administer the company's CAPA log and Production Issue Ticket system.
  • Assign issues to the appropriate personnel and establish target completion dates.
  • Monitor progress, follow up on open actions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Verify completion of assigned actions and ensure issues are formally closed.
  • Escalate overdue items when necessary to maintain momentum and accountability.
  • Generate reports and metrics related to quality and corrective action performance.
Documentation & Process Support
  • Support the development and maintenance of engineering and production documentation.
  • Assist with document control activities, including revision tracking and record organization.
  • Help improve processes related to engineering data flow, quality documentation, and operational consistency.
  • Support special projects involving data cleanup, process improvement, and system implementation.


Qualifications
Required
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data and technical information.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, including sorting, filtering, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on open tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable holding others accountable to deadlines through professional and persistent follow-up.
Preferred
  • Experience working within an ERP, MRP, or manufacturing software system.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD files.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, quality, or technical administrative experience.
  • Exposure to bill-of-material management, document control, quality systems, or corrective action processes.
