We've grown over 440% in the last 18 months because we take ownership, solve hard problems, and build with purpose. Join us to build the future.
Internship Overview
An internship at Accelevation is not a summer of shadowing and busy work. We design, manufacture, and install the critical infrastructure that powers some of the world's most advanced technologies. As an intern, you will work alongside industry experts on meaningful projects with real deadlines, real responsibilities, and real impact. You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing leaders, and project managers who are solving complex challenges and shaping the future of critical infrastructure. From our manufacturing center in Southwest Ohio to the mission-critical environments behind many of the world's largest data centers, you will gain firsthand exposure to how innovative ideas become reality. More importantly, you will build lasting connections. You will join a cohort of interns who learn and grow together, while developing relationships with mentors who will support your career long after your internship ends. You will leave with more than experience. You will leave with new skills, meaningful relationships, and a deeper understanding of how your work can help build the future.
Your Impact
As an Operations Intern, you will support manufacturing and operations teams by helping improve process efficiency, standardization, visual management, quality, material flow, and equipment implementation. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams, you will help translate improvement opportunities into practical, sustainable shop-floor solutions. This role offers valuable hands-on experience with Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, operational excellence initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and manufacturing process optimization in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support Toyota Production System (TPS) and Visual Factory initiatives that improve operational efficiency, workplace organization, and performance visibility
Assist in identifying root causes of quality and process issues and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate product and process engineering changes, helping ensure documentation, communication, training, and successful manufacturing implementation
Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production documentation
Assist with implementation and sustainment of Kanban and other material flow systems to improve inventory management and production flow
Create and maintain operational dashboards, visual controls, and reporting tools that support data-driven decision-making
Support capital equipment (CapEx) projects, including equipment implementation, commissioning, process integration, supplier coordination, and documentation
Participate in continuous improvement activities through process observation, operational data collection, analysis, and implementation support
Partner with frontline leaders and team members to reinforce standardized work and sustain operational improvements
Support additional projects and operational priorities as assigned
