Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for a Technical Designer/Drafter in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and designs for our DoD customer.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $77,000
You Will:
  • Create or update technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, project managers, and other drawing stakeholders to gather project specifications and feedback.
  • Interpret and translate rough sketches and redlines into detailed and accurate drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with the technical drawing SOP, industry and MIL standards and regulations.
  • Perform design calculations and analysis as necessary.
  • Review and revise drawings to incorporate redlines.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are assigned, tracked, and acheivable.
  • Identify and mitigate potential issues or risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and revisions.
  • Continuously update knowledge of CAD software and industry trends.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

You Have:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Engineering Design Graphics, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in Art or Design will be considered with CAD software experience.
  • The desire to grow and develop into a highly skilled technical designer/drafter.
  • Experience using CAD software and other design tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of welding, shipboard materials and spaces, and terminology is a plus.
