Description This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon candidate qualifications: Associate Modeler ($28.21 - $39.35 Hourly) Utilize BIM software to produce and maintain 3D digital models. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other members of the design and construction teams

Works under the direct supervision of the BIM Supervisor with technical guidance from the Staff and Senior Modelers. Staff Modeler ($73,923.20 - $103,105.60 Annually) Uses BIM software to produce and update as-built drawing sets. Associate Modeler Staff Modeler Qualifications Associate Modeler Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of: Technical drawing concepts and conventions. Industry wide BIM best practices. Basic drafting concepts.

General office processes and procedures. Skilled at: Reading technical, architectural, and/or engineering drawings. Utilizing technology to review technical drawings.

Generating 2D drawings, plans, sections, and elevations from 3D BIM models. Revit or Civil3D principles including basic modeling procedures and plotting. Ability to: Work effectively in a drawing production team.

Communicate effectively. Revise drawings per markups by others. Perform effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Seek out information and formulate questions for problem-solving. Education High school graduation or GED. Staff Modeler Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of: Technical drawing concepts and conventions.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or other production drafting software. Industry wide BIM best practices. Advanced drafting concepts.

General office processes and procedures. Skilled at: Work effectively in a drawing production team. Developing 3D models from pointcloud data.

Reading technical, architectural, and/or engineering drawings. Utilizing technology to review technical drawings. Generating 2D drawings, plans, sections, and elevations from 3D BIM models.

Revit or Civil3D principles including basic modeling procedures and plotting. Communicate effectively both written and orally. Ability to: Revise drawings in AutoCAD or other production drafting software.

Perform effectively in a collaborative team environment. Seek out information and formulate questions for problem-solving. Education A two-year Associates of Applied Science degree (AAS) in computer aided drafting technology or equivalent BIM technology.

A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
