Advanced Technology Matrix United (ATMU) specializes in product distribution, technical support, logistics, and warehousing services for high-tech industries. Our offerings include specialized equipment, chemicals, and parts, along with installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, transportation, and warehousing services.

Job Overview

ATMU is seeking a hands-on Technical Service Engineer to provide equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer-facing technical support.

This position will work with customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to support equipment setup, commissioning, testing, technical issue resolution, and product performance. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Support equipment installation, setup, commissioning, startup, testing, and functional verification.
  • Perform troubleshooting, inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repair activities.
  • Diagnose equipment and system issues using technical drawings, manuals, specifications, test data, and field observations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Communicate equipment status, technical findings, recommended solutions, and service updates clearly.
  • Prepare service reports, troubleshooting summaries, issue logs, and technical documentation.
  • Support customer training, equipment handover, product evaluations, and technical discussions.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, suppliers, and vendors to resolve customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, service processes, and customer support.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, specifications, and product documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, and travel locally to customer sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technical service, field engineering, equipment support, commissioning, maintenance, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, industrial equipment, laboratory, or cleanroom environments.
  • Experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, startup, or repair.
  • Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, or vendors.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, technical reporting, and issue tracking.
  • Mandarin proficiency is preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Work Environment

This role includes office-based technical support, equipment-area work, customer-site visits, installation activities, and troubleshooting. Work may occur in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, equipment rooms, and customer locations.
