Job Description

Technical Documentation Specialist

Role will be responsible for writing technical documentation and SOP's for client's infrastructure systems so they must have a strong technical background and understanding of the technical systems.

As part of the interview process, all candidates for this role must be able to:

Provide examples of technical documentation they have produced previously

Provide examples of SOP's that they have produced previously

Give a presentation on documentation they have created

Perform a hands-on diagram session utilizing a white board/smart board


MUST HAVE:

Prior experience creating technical documentation including:

o Network and System architecture diagrams

o Data and process flow

o How-to guides

o SOPs

3-5+ years experience hands on administration of the following:

o Windows server 2008 and 2k12

o Red Hat Linux RHEL 5 and 6

o NetApp or other major NAS/SAN

o VMware ESX

o WAN/LAN Networking

o Oracle and MSSQL databases technologies

o Load Balancers (NetScaler and F5)

o Backup Methodologies

o Disaster Recovery replication methodologies

o Protocols - NFS, CIFS, FTP, SSL, SSH, iSCSI, NTP, PGP

Proficient in the following:

o Microsoft Office suite specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint

o Microsoft Visio
