Scope of work:

NC-DIT seeks to modernize its services, in the areas of network, storage and other infrastructure services. It order to do so NC-DIT will be developing a number of Requests for Proposal (RFP) for outside integrators. This RFP development will need to be done in a consistent, clear and professional manner. The Senior Technical Writer will work under the guidance of state staff and management and will augment the state's ability to expedite the procurement and contracting process. Candidates that come from a Project Management background or have strong Project Management experience are highly

desired, but not required. Prior to interview, shortlisted candidates will be asked to supply writing samples.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into procurement language (REQ)
  • An understanding of the public sector procurement process (NTH)
  • Excellent written and spoken communications (REQ)
  • Ability to interact with staff and management at all levels of an organization (NTH)
  • Understanding of vendor technical community (NTH)
  • Understanding of Information Technology terms and concepts (REQ)
  • Previous experience drafting Request for Proposals for IT integrators.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous Project Management Experience
