Job description

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Full time Technical Aide to assist the team members in the Manahawkin office location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice.

The Technical Aide is responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Assists Technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and wheelchair transport to ensure timely and safe imaging procedures.
  • Prepares charts and registers patients.
  • Gathers information for upcoming MRI exams and schedules patient appointments.
  • Supports workflow efficiency by coordinating patient flow and communicating with clinical staff.
  • Greets patients and escorts patients to the changing area, providing gown instructions. Assists patients with dressing as needed.
  • Takes patient history and processes paperwork.
  • Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the Technologist is elsewhere;
  • Safely enters and completes work responsibilities within the clinical area;
  • Reviews and scrubs schedules in advance to verify exam accuracy and support efficient imaging workflow. Schedules and reschedules when needed.
  • Prepares imaging rooms between patients, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the designated modality suites, including equipment and supply areas.
  • Monitors and restocks medical and departmental supplies to support daily operations.
  • Upholds patient confidentiality and always adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in the Manahawkin office location.
The work schedule includes Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm with occasional shifts of 7:30am-4pm.
Schedules and locations are subject to change based on business needs.
Candidates for this position must be a High School Graduate or equivalent; some college coursework preferred. An American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification is required, and candidates must be willing to obtain within first thirty (30) days of employment. Candidates must be willing and able to work around MRI equipment. Previous radiology practice experience a plus. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to utilize standard office equipment is required.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated understanding of a positive patient experience. Candidates must be highly organized and maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work.
