Job description

IT Director

Location: Chandler, AZ

Work Arrangement: On-site

Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 base salary

A growing, multi-location company with operations across multiple states is seeking an IT Director to lead and elevate its IT function. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technology leader who thrives in a fast-moving, service-based environment and can align systems, software, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies with business growth. This organization operates in a modern SaaS, software, and cloud-based technology environment with little to no traditional on-premises infrastructure. The IT Director will work closely with executive leadership and internal teams to create scalable technology processes, strengthen risk and cybersecurity practices, and ensure systems are supporting the business efficiently across locations. The ideal candidate is strategic, hands-on when needed, highly communicative, and comfortable translating complex technical information into clear, business-focused guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead IT strategy, planning, and execution across a multi-state, multi-location business.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on technology roadmap, system improvements, process optimization, and business enablement.
  • Oversee SaaS platforms, cloud-based systems, software tools, ERP systems, and accounting technology that support day-to-day operations.
  • Evaluate current systems, workflows, and technology usage to identify opportunities for scalability, efficiency, and improved adoption.
  • Establish, strengthen, and manage cybersecurity, risk management, controls, and related IT processes.
  • Ensure technology platforms are aligned with business goals across departments, locations, and field-based operations.
  • Communicate technical concepts in a clear, practical, and business-friendly way for non-technical leaders and internal teams.
  • Create structure, accountability, and best practices within the IT function as the company continues to grow.
  • Support distributed operations with a technology environment that is primarily SaaS, software, and cloud-based.

What We’re Looking For

  • IT leadership experience within a multi-state, multi-location organization.
  • Strong experience working directly with executive leadership and advising on technology strategy.
  • Proven ability to simplify technical information and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing SaaS platforms, software systems, cloud-based environments, ERP systems, and accounting software.
  • Cybersecurity and risk management experience, including creating processes, controls, and scalable practices.
  • Experience supporting distributed business operations with little to no on-premise infrastructure.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect technology decisions to operational and financial outcomes.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented leadership style with the ability to bring structure to growing IT environments.
  • Strong candidates coming from any multi-location, service-based, or field-based business where technology supports distributed teams and operational complexity. (equipment rental, pest control, plumbing, electrical services, other home services)

Technology Environment

Candidates should be comfortable supporting a broad SaaS, software, and cloud-based ecosystem that may include:

  • ERP systems
  • Accounting software
  • Business intelligence and reporting platforms
  • CRM systems
  • Payment and expense management platforms
  • Tax and compliance tools
  • Fleet, field, call tracking, security, and operations-related technology
  • Cloud-based business applications
  • Technology / Software Environment: Microsoft Suite, MOAB, Sage Intacct, Ramp, Salesforce, Avalara (sales tax), Power BI, Call Tracking Metrics phone system, Samsara (telematics), Milestone (site monitoring)
