Director of Information Technology - Houston, TX
Lead technology where strategy meets business performance
Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead the Company's global IT function and technology strategy. This highly visible leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for enterprise applications, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT operations across the organization.
As Verdant's senior IT leader, you'll partner with executive and functional leadership to align technology investments with business priorities, optimize enterprise systems, strengthen cybersecurity and governance, and identify opportunities to improve business performance through technology, automation, and data.
This role is onsite and based in Houston, Texas.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute Verdant's global IT strategy, governance framework, and technology roadmap.
  • Lead enterprise applications, SAP business systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, end-user computing, and IT support.
  • Provide strategic oversight of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including enhancement prioritization and business process optimization.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and other functions to implement effective technology solutions.
  • Strengthen enterprise cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT governance.
  • Lead and develop internal IT and SAP teams while managing technology vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.
  • Manage IT operating and capital budgets, technology contracts, software licensing, and strategic technology investments.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve data integrity and reporting, and leverage emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable SAP enterprise environment; SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading IT within a manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or other complex multi-site operating environment.
  • Experience with IT strategy, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, disaster recovery, enterprise technology projects, budgets, and third-party service providers.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or SAP-related certifications preferred.
