The Assistant Superintendent for the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership providesÂ

 Oversee and support the core instructional delivery frameworks for English Language LearnersÂ
(ELL), ensuring specialized language acquisition programming is integrated across general educationÂ

 Guide academic teams and school leadership in isolating and analyzing key academic performanceÂ
metrics to eliminate learning gaps and ensure resource equity.
 Ensure that inclusive practices, culturally responsive pedagogy, and differentiatedÂ
instructional methodologies are embedded across all classrooms to support high academic standards.
 Oversee the research, selection, procurement, and systemic implementation of evidence-basedÂ

Induction Plans.

Duty/Responsibility # Â 5 Â Statement of duty/responsibility: Fiscal Stewardship and Community Advocacy
Tasks involved in fulfilling above duty/responsibility:
 Formulate and manage complex administrative budgets within the Office of Teaching, Learning, andÂ
Leadership, optimizing general funds alongside local, state, and federal grants.
 Articulate the district's educational vision, academic milestones, and inclusive initiativesÂ
transparently to the Board of School Directors, families, and community partners.
 Serve as an executive liaison to navigate and resolve highly escalated, complex community andÂ
organizational concerns with diplomacy, equity, and transparency.
Duty/Responsibility # Â 6 Â Statement of duty/responsibility: Special Projects/Additional Duties
Tasks involved in fulfilling above duty/responsibility:
 Serve as an active, collaborative member of the Superintendent's Cabinet to shape district-wideÂ
policy, labor relations, and strategic direction.
 Attend and present at executive board meetings, workshops, and civic forums to advocate for theÂ
advancement of the district.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
SECTION IV: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
 Education/Certification: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, orÂ
a closely related field required (Doctorate highly preferred). Valid Pennsylvania SuperintendentÂ
Letter of Eligibility, OR a valid K-12 Administrative/Principal certification with immediateÂ
eligibility to pursue the Letter of Eligibility.
 Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of highly successful experience as a building principal,Â
central office director, and/or senior-level educational administrator. Demonstrated success inÂ
leading systemic change, managing complex budgets, overseeing early childhood, ELL, specialÂ
education, or specialized K-12 instructional frameworks. and driving measurable academic andÂ
operational improvements in a diverse educational setting.
 Essential skills required to perform the work:
 Ability to foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive organizational culture.
 Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
 Proficiency in data analysis for instructional improvement.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
