Job Description

Job Duties:
In this role, you will provide substance use counseling, facilitate rehabilitation programming, support inmate reentry planning, assign and supervise the work of others and assist in instructing others in program methods, procedures, and functions while maintaining compliance with Substance Use Program standards.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You are detail oriented and have four years of experience in substance use treatment. You should have knowledge of substance use disorders, the disease model of addiction, co'dependency, and related disorders, as well as counseling and recovery practices. Additionally, you must hold a current, valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) through the Texas Department of State Health Services, a current valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) through the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals, or another qualifying credential that authorizes you to conduct counseling in a treatment environment.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
you have experience working in a therapeutic community environment and have experience supervising employees. You should also be familiar with substance use screening tools and treatment programs, demonstrating an understanding of structured treatment processes and supportive intervention methods.
