Job description

WHO WE ARE
Task Force Contractors (TFC) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) operating under a long-term SABER contract at Eglin AFB. We do real construction on active federal facilities โ€” interior renovation, exterior work, and everything in between. This is not day labor. We have a steady pipeline of task orders and we need people who want to be part of a crew, not bounce between jobs.
THE WORK
This is a multi-trade role. Your week will vary based on active task orders. You need to be comfortable moving between scopes โ€” that is the job.
Interior work includes:
โ€ข Demolition โ€” partitions, ceilings, flooring, fixtures
โ€ข Metal stud framing and drywall โ€” hang, tape, finish to paint-ready
โ€ข Flooring โ€” VCT, LVP, carpet tile, sheet vinyl
โ€ข Suspended ceilings โ€” ACT grid layout and tile install
โ€ข Paint โ€” prep, prime, finish coats
โ€ข Finish carpentry โ€” doors, frames, trim, hardware, punch list
Exterior work includes:
โ€ข Light framing โ€” wood and metal stud
โ€ข Siding โ€” HardiePlank, metal panel, trim and seal
โ€ข Fencing โ€” chain link and security fence on military property
โ€ข Waterproofing โ€” caulk, sealants, membrane systems, flashing
โ€ข Concrete โ€” flatwork, pads, footing prep
โ€ข Exterior paint and surface prep
Every day:
โ€ข On site at 7:00 AM with your tools โ€” ready to work
โ€ข Follow direction from your Foreman and execute without hand-holding
โ€ข Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized
โ€ข Comply with all base access requirements and federal site protocols
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
โ€ข Minimum 2 years of hands-on commercial construction experience
โ€ข Working knowledge of at least two trades listed above
โ€ข Ability to read basic drawings and work orders
โ€ข Reliable transportation to Eglin AFB
โ€ข Able to pass a federal background check for base access
โ€ข Authorized to work in the US โ€” valid I-9 documents required on day one
โ€ข Able to lift 50+ lbs and sustain full days of manual labor
Preferred (we will train the right person):
โ€ข Experience on military installations, VA facilities, or government buildings
โ€ข OSHA 10 card
โ€ข Bilingual English/Spanish
IMPORTANT โ€” BASE ACCESS REQUIREMENT
This job is on a federal military installation. All employees must obtain and maintain a base access credential, which requires a federal background check. If you have a felony conviction, active warrants, or other record issues that would prevent base access, please do not apply โ€” you will not be able to perform this work regardless of your construction skills.
Prior military service or an existing CAC/base access credential is a plus and speeds up the process.
