We are currently seeking dedicated and caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and provide vital support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs.

Job Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. You will assist with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and help individuals achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist with community integration activities, including outings and social engagements.
  • Implement individualized care plans and behavioral strategies.
  • Encourage and empower individuals to achieve their goals and build life skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in human services is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • CPR Certificates required
