Job description

🔧 CNC Set-Up Machinist (2nd Shift) | Join a Team That Keeps Manufacturing Moving

Are you the kind of machinist who loves dialing in a setup, solving problems on the fly, and seeing quality parts roll off the machine because you got it right?

We're looking for an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team that specializes in custom metal fabrication and tubing solutions. This is more than an operator role - we need someone who can take ownership of machine setups, troubleshoot independently, and keep production running smoothly.

🛠 What You'll Be Doing:

  • Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines
  • Read blueprints, drawings, work orders, and setup instructions
  • Load tooling, fixtures, and machine programs
  • Perform first-piece inspections and make machine adjustments
  • Set tool and work offsets and calibrate equipment
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Perform tooling changes and basic machine maintenance
  • Prepare materials using saws and grinders
  • Support operators and help maintain quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to solve challenges

🎯 What You Need to Bring:

  • 3+ years of machining experience
  • Associate degree in Machining or 5+ years of machining experience
  • Hands-on CNC machine setup experience (not just operating)
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Experience with offsets, tooling changes, and machine adjustments
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems
  • Metal fabrication or tube manufacturing experience
  • Experience managing multiple machines simultaneously
  • A knack for finding solutions before anyone else notices a problem

🌟 Work Environment:

  • Family-oriented culture with decades of manufacturing success
  • Hands-on leadership that values continuous improvement
  • Close collaboration with engineering and operations teams
  • Growth-driven environment with long-term career opportunities
  • A team that takes pride in quality craftsmanship and getting the job done right

🕒 Shift Details:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday
  • 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Benefits & Perks:

  • Pay: $28.59/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential
  • Competitive hourly pay with shift premium
  • Stable, growing manufacturing business
  • Opportunity for forklift and hoist certification training
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Long-term career growth potential
  • Work with modern equipment and engineering support
  • Be part of a company that invests in its people and its future

Apply today and bring your setup expertise to a team that values skill, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. 🔧⚙️
