* WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO WORK MONDAY- FRIDAY 8A-5PM. THIS POSITION INCLUDES AN ON-CALL ROTATION 4 DAYS/ WEEK AND 1 WEEKEND A MONTH (4 week rotation cycle) *

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and ensuring clients receive quality, uninterrupted care. This position serves as the primary liaison between clients, caregivers, and office staff to fill open shifts, respond to scheduling changes, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Schedule:
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• Includes an on-call rotation (4 days per week and one weekend per month, rotating)

Responsibilities:

Staffing & Coordination:

  • Schedule caregivers for client assignments based on availability, skills, client preferences, and location.
  • Fill open shifts, call-offs, and emergency staffing needs promptly.
  • Maintain accurate schedules within the generations software.
  • Contact caregivers regarding available shifts, schedule changes, and staffing updates.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and caregivers regarding schedule changes or concerns.
  • Monitor missed visits, late arrivals, and attendance issues, following company procedures.
  • Document all scheduling activities, conversations, and client/caregiver notes accurately.
  • Coordinate new client start-of-care schedules with the assessment team.
  • Review caregiver availability regularly to maximize staffing efficiency.
  • Work closely with the recruiting team to identify staffing shortages.
  • Assist with on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Ensure continuity of care by minimizing schedule disruptions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and client information in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Participate in office meetings and ongoing training.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Active CNA, LPN, or RN license in the state of Alabama preferred
• 3+ years of experience in staffing, management, healthcare, or an office setting
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and pleasant phone demeanor
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Generations preferred (training provided if needed)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in home care, healthcare, or social assistance industry
• Experience managing schedules, staffing coverage, and overtime
