Job description

Brooks is seeking a highly driven, strategic, and relationship-focused Strategic Technical Recruiter to support our continued growth with an emphasis on the Building Technologies Division.
This is not a recruiter who simply posts jobs and waits for applicants. We are seeking a hands-on talent acquisition leader who can personally source, recruit, and fill critical positions while also developing the long-term talent strategies needed to support Brooks' growth. This role combines full-cycle recruiting with workforce planning, talent pipeline development, employer branding, and recruiting analytics. Working closely with executive leadership, the Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager will influence hiring strategy, build sustainable talent pipelines, lead recruiting operations, and play a key role in supporting Brooks' continued expansion.
We are looking for a talent hunter who can identify, attract, and engage top performers before they enter the job market. This individual will partner closely with operations, sales, marketing, and leadership to develop recruiting strategies that fuel our expansion into key growth markets including Tampa, Orlando, and West Palm Beach.

The successful candidate will help establish Brooks as an employer of choice within building automation, controls, HVAC, engineering, and adjacent technical industries while creating long-term talent pipelines that support organizational growth.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies that support the growth of Brooks' Building Technologies Division across Florida.
  • Build talent pipelines for technical, sales, project management, and leadership roles through sourcing, networking, and relationship-based recruiting.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for critical positions, partnering with hiring managers to attract and secure top talent.
  • Identify and engage high-performing candidates while leveraging market intelligence and workforce planning to anticipate hiring needs.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen employer branding and develop innovative recruiting campaigns.
  • Build relationships with trade schools, colleges, military programs, industry associations, and community organizations to expand talent networks.
  • Represent Brooks at industry events, career fairs, and networking functions to promote career opportunities and company growth.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers by providing recruiting expertise, market insights, and hiring strategy support.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and trends to improve hiring effectiveness and talent acquisition outcomes.
  • Drive recruiting excellence and continuous improvement through workforce planning and long-term talent strategies.
  • Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition Specialist, providing coaching, accountability, and strategic direction for recruiting operations.

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Proven success recruiting technical or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Experience supporting construction, building automation, HVAC, controls, engineering, mechanical services, electrical, industrial, or skilled trades environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit passive candidates.
  • Experience utilizing modern sourcing tools.
  • Strong understanding of employer branding and social recruiting.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing recruiting professionals while driving recruiting strategy, accountability, and performance.

Preferred
  • Building Automation, HVAC, Controls, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Automation, or Construction recruiting experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-location organizations.
  • Experience developing recruiting marketing campaigns.
  • Strong professional network within Florida's technical talent market.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $100,000 -115,000 base salary plus annual performance bonus
  • Medical benefits and HSA contributions, 401(k) with company match, PTO and paid holidays
  • Training, mentorship, and career development opportunities
