Job description

Summary of Position

The Taco maker is one of the most important elements in El Taco Tote. The taco maker represents Taco Tote by using T.A.C.O.S. qualities and attention to detail in order to give only the best quality products and presentation to the guests. A taco maker is the last to check the quality of the order and respect the work of the other employees. The taco maker must keep his area clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Good communication Skills
  • Extremely detail oriented and value a work environment that is focused on detailed visuals and cleanliness
  • Disciplined, punctual and friendly by nature
  • Meet all restaurant operating policies and Conduct standards.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US -Everify check required
  • License: Food handlers Card (Required)

Responsibilities:

  • Follow Menu guidelines and presentation specifications
  • Ensure a high quality of ingredients and food preparation
  • Stock ingredients in fridge and in ice chest, Stock plates and boxes
  • Make the tacos, Respect the flow from kitchen to lobby; Controls production of meat and tortillas
  • Prepare double broilers (containers and water), Turn on gas, grill, and griddle

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift supplies up to 70lb; stand for long periods of time (4-8Hrs)
  • Must be able to Carry, bend, stretch, stoop, lift, shake, stir, carry and push frequently; dealing with variations of temperature from hot to cold.
  • Frequent washing hands.
  • Ability to Read (orders tickets/Receipts/Recipes)
  • Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items.

In 1988, one of Dora’s youngest son’s opened the first El Taco Tote restaurant in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Inspired by his childhood memories decided to start a very authentic and new concept of tacos.
El Taco Tote’s popularity grew, taking it into multiple cities in Mexico and the United States. Today, Tacotote consists of over 20 locations in 11 cities, with more to come.
