Job description

The Implementations Manager utilizes their project management expertise by leading and organizing internal and external resources to successfully manage complex customer installations into CyrusOne's data centers. The Implementations Manager is a critical member of the Customer Success organization and thereby defines our customer's onboarding experience while enabling customer growth with CyrusOne.Responsibilities:

Project Management Process

  • Effectively initiates, defines, and evaluates the customer project through communications, contract and documentation review, and associated business analysis
  • Accurately identifies stakeholders, sets expectations, and addresses related project impacts and goals
  • Methodically assembles the project plan including the scope, WBS, schedule, costs, quality, communication, revenue intervals, and risks based on the contract, and through partnership with the customer, CyrusOne account team, construction, service delivery, facilities, network, security, and associated vendors
  • Manages and enables the project team, resources, and vendors to execute the tasks, deliverables, and associated milestones efficiently while owning the customer project communication
  • Analyzes and identifies solutions to mitigate risk and impacts to quality, cost, scope, and time while offering guidance and opportunities with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Monitors, controls, and reports on project work through tools and feedback mechanisms to effectively communicate progress to stakeholders including executive leadership
  • Performs integrated change control while sourcing and implementing collaborative decisions to achieve the customer's desired results
  • Articulates closing processes, revenue recognition requirements, and stakeholder acceptance, while generating reports and surveys to enable post-install customer success and account management ownership transition
  • Accomplishes successful project closure through on-time delivery of CyrusOne's data center products and services

Business Process Innovation

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in data center and IT infrastructure services
  • Extensive experience in large scale data center builds, migrations, and installations
  • Knowledge of telecom, network, cloud services, and IT systems
  • Knowledge of Data Centers and Network Transport equipment including IP and MPLS circuits
  • Experience working with Telecom Carriers
  • Understanding of Fiber Optic technologies (e.g. Single Mode and Multimode fiber)
  • Knowledge of Auto CAD, Visio, and Smart Sheet preferred
Education/Certifications:
  • BA or BS in technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • PMP certification preferred or equivalent demonstrated practical project management experience

Work Environment:

  • Remote work is supported 2 days a week
