System of Care Director,Galesburg, IL Full-Time $60,000-$65,000/year

Bridgeway, Inc. is seeking a skilled and mission-driven System of Care Director. This full-time position serves as our high-impact, externally facing community systems leader operating at the intersection of behavioral health, public health, education, housing, and recovery to manage and strengthen multi-sector collaborations across west-central Illinois.

Bridgeway, Inc. is a comprehensive human services organization and a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Henry Counties in west-central Illinois. As a CCBHC, Bridgeway operates at the leading edge of integrated behavioral health - delivering person-centered, recovery-oriented care across a full continuum that includes outpatient therapy, crisis services, substance use treatment, psychiatric services, and community support.

The System of Care Director reports to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services and serves as Bridgeway's lead agency representative across multiple funded community systems. This role provides high-level programmatic direction, grant reporting compliance, and strategic alignment for a portfolio of systems-change grants, including the Illinois Children's Healthcare Foundation (ILCHF) YES/CMHI 3.0 initiative, the West Central Illinois Recovery Oriented System of Care (WCI ROSC), and the IDHS Regional Donated Funds Initiative.

What You'll Do

  • Provide programmatic direction, contract alignment, and compliance oversight across Bridgeway's portfolio of funded community systems of care, including the ILCHF CMHI 3.0 grant, state ROSC investments, and local foundation projects.
  • Coordinate regional interagency stakeholder meetings, facilitate the broad coalition of regional system partners within the Community Implementation Team, and chair the monthly multi-provider System of Care assembly.
  • Manage and administer the organization's Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training program under the IDHS contract, which includes supervising trainers, managing class scheduling, tracking registration metrics, and updating data systems at mhfa.org and the local database.
  • Compile and submit mandatory state and foundation compliance documentation, including quarterly IDHS trackers, 6-month progress reports, and final summative reports for funder portals.
  • Monitor overarching project outcomes, integrated clinical service tier metrics, and regional data points to eliminate structural barriers and maximize system sustainability.
  • Represent the agency at cross-sector planning tables to strengthen pathways connecting individuals and families with behavioral health, primary care, primary education, housing, and justice systems.
  • Oversee field coordination and Bridgeway's active involvement in major regional community health events, such as annual SummerFEST initiatives and the Discover Wellness Summit.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Services, Social Work, Public Administration, or a closely related human services field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in behavioral health, human services, or healthcare, with demonstrated success in community systems development, grant implementation, or multi-stakeholder coalition leadership.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the System of Care framework, recovery-oriented systems, community integration models, and Illinois public health/grant architectures.
  • Certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor credential (Adult and/or Youth), or a firm willingness and capacity to obtain certification immediately upon hire.
  • Proven capability to cultivate, navigate, and maintain relationships across diverse community sectors and represent an organization with absolute professionalism in public settings.
  • Superior organizational and financial stewardship skills with the ability to navigate complex data trackers and handle multi-layered funder obligations with complete accuracy and accountability.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record for regular fieldwork across Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Leave for All Workers (PLAW).
  • Holiday pay and bereavement pay.
  • 401(k) with employer contribution and match.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • A mission-driven organization where your structural community leadership and systems-change work directly impacts lives.
  • Extensive regional and state-level networking opportunities with major health foundations, academic evaluation teams, and state executive agencies.

Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all required background checks, including criminal history screening.
