Job description

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, controllers, mainlines, and laterals
  • Perform seasonal system maintenance, including start-up, midseason checks, and shutdown/winterization
  • Diagnose and program irrigation controllers; install backflow preventers, flow sensors, and pressure regulators
  • Repair leaks in lateral and main lines, conduct valve diagnostics, and maintain valves and electrical components
  • Operate trenchers, compactors, and hand tools safely for digging and repairs
  • Retrofit and upgrade existing irrigation systems for optimal water coverage and efficiency
  • Perform troubleshooting, wiring repairs, and implement water management practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and management; accurately complete inventory and service documentation
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license REQUIRED
  • Reliable transportation REQUIRED
  • Consistent and dependable attendance
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, remote controls, station master, and voltmeter
  • Basic knowledge of horticulture practices and safety procedures
  • Ability to meet labor goals and specifications while maintaining job quality
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
