Job description

The Sales Support Manager has primary responsibility supporting MIN OEM factories and affiliates, Mixed Sales Company (MSC) and dealers to increase sales performance. Establish and manage sales goals by assigned sales region, MIN affiliates and customer accounts driving top line revenue growth while maintaining and/or improving sales margins. The Sales Manager applies understanding of market trends and business operations to make decisions necessary in managing existing and enhancing sales processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees and supports the LME team of Regional Sales Support Managers and Sales Administration.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling Liebherr sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers as well as identifying new customer opportunities with the Affiliates.
  • Identifies, develops, and coordinates effective business relationships with customers to ensure maximum market penetration.
  • Approaches existing and potential customers to provide technical and commercial information to facilitate sales growth. Has a good understanding of the product line and sells the product that will best meet the customer's needs.
  • Educates and coaches Regional Sales Support Managers on sales strategies, conduct seminars and regular meetings including regular regional meetings with affiliates.
  • Supports affiliate and/or dealer sales teams in the region to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals.
  • Supports the sales strategy while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage product, pricing and marketing in close cooperation with Regional Sales Support Managers and Affiliates considering regional and local requirements.
  • Recommends products by identifying new product opportunities, surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  • Delivers sales presentations to existing and potential customers. 
  • Coordinates with the LME OHT Sales Trainer on the OHT Syllabus and annual training plan with with the MIN Sales Training.
  • Helps identify trends in emerging markets.
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals jointly with the existing sales organization in the relevant countries with MIN Sales and Affiliates.Survey market pricing situation and propose annual sales help rates to GM - International Sales.
  • Establishes T2 sales objectives for the department.
  • Ensures sales administration tasks are done in full / on time, ensures proper use of CRM and the correct use of BMS documents.
  • Ensures Opportunity lists in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (incl. prospects) is systematically maintained and Lost Order Reports are up-to-date.
  • Responsible for all sales functions in markets without Liebherr affiliate(s).
  • Represents Company at trade association meetings and/or industry events to promote products.
Competencies
  • Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree in a related technical area (i.e. Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering) or a degree in Business Administration; 4 years of experience the mining equipment industry; and at least 2 years in a Sales and/or Sales Support role in the mining equipment industry.
    Demonstrates strong selling skills and makes sales that meet customer needs.
  • Ability to listen to all points of view and negotiate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, schematics, part drawings, assembly drawings, component / system specifications and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing a collaborative environment with internal and external customers to attain/maintain world-class customer service. Builds rapport with a variety of people and develops alliances in order to work toward common goals.
  • Knowledge of processing tools and demonstrated ability with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills.
  • Travel domestically and internationally over 50% of the time.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
  • Ability to maintain Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
