Job description

The Litigation Support Clerk is responsible for the efficient management of physical client records, including maintaining accurate file inventories and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive legal and medical documents. This role involves opening and closing client files, organizing and filing hard-copy documentation, and supporting overall office operations. Additional duties include communicating with vendors, updating firm databases, operating office equipment, and serving as back-up to reception and office services. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential for this position.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Organize, file, and maintain physical client records and documentation.
  • Open new client files and properly close completed files.
  • Maintain and update accurate file inventories.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive legal and medical records.
  • Prepare general correspondence and assist with incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and medical providers as needed.
  • Process invoices.
  • Accurately input and update information and time entries in firm databases.
  • Assist with the coordination of meetings, conference calls, and events, including scheduling and preparing conference rooms.
  • Provide front desk support as needed, including greeting guests and handling incoming calls and inquiries.
  • Operate office equipment.
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects.

  • Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Docs Open, etc.)
