Preschool Classroom Assistant, Multiple Openings, 2026-2027 School Year
Join Our Summit ESC Preschool Team as a Classroom Assistant!
Term: 7 hours per day/ 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday; 28 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $15.10 - $19.18 per hour
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Educational Aide Permit
  • Previous experience with early childhood children (preschool or kindergarten), early childhood training preferred
  • Previous experience with working with children disabilities preferred
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings
  • Alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Possible Job Duties:
  • Support the preschool teacher in supervising children during playground time, restrooms, hallways, snack/lunch, gross motor activities, and bus routines
  • Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Assist in the preparing teacher-made instructional materials
  • Set up and clean up classroom centers (art, music, housekeeping, blocks, puzzles, and more)
  • Help preschool children with daily living skills including removing coat, zipping, buttoning, tying shoes, and toileting
  • All other duties as assigned
