What are summer internships?

Summer internships are short-term work experiences, typically lasting 8 to 12 weeks during the summer months, that allow students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in a professional setting. These positions are often offered by companies, non-profit organizations, or government agencies and may be paid or unpaid. Interns get the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, develop new skills, and network with professionals in their chosen field. For example, if you want to intern at a law firm, they may only seek applicants who are enrolled in a law school program. In addition, some employers have minimum GPA requirements. The required skills also depend on the industry but, generally, you must have excellent multi-tasking and communication abilities. If you want to obtain a summer engineering internship, then having strong math and analytical skills is helpful.
