Job description

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING
JOB TITLE: Summer Discovery Learning Paraprofessional

LOCATION: Madison Early Childhood Center or Madison Elementary School

TRAINING AND SUPPORT: Summer Discovery Learning teachers will be required to attend in-person training on June 15th and June 17th from 9:00am-11:00am.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE: 

June 22nd - July 24th (No School on July 3rd)

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 12:30pm

May be asked to attend afternoon field trips once a week from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

HOURLY RATE: $20.00

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking dedicated Summer Discovery Learning Paraprofessionals to support students and teachers during our upcoming summer program. The successful candidates will assist with implementing engaging learning activities and providing instructional and behavioral support to help enhance students' educational experiences during the summer break.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to work effectively with students and staff in an educational setting.
  • Preferred: Previous paraprofessional or educational support experience, experience working with elementary students, strong organizational and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support teachers in implementing engaging learning activities and classroom instruction.
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students as directed by the teacher.
  • Assist with supervising students during classroom and program activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
