Job description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible Summer Camp Aide to support students in our summer camp program. The Summer Camp Aide helps create a safe, engaging, and faith‑filled environment where students can grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually while enjoying structured summer activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and actively engage with students during summer camp hours
  • Assist with daily activities including games, crafts, outdoor play, and organized events
  • Support snack and lunch times while ensuring student safety and appropriate behavior
  • Monitor students at all times to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students, staff, and families
  • Assist camp leaders and coordinators with activity setup and cleanup
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming camp spaces
  • Communicate effectively with camp staff regarding student needs or concerns
  • Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including emergency procedures
Job RequirementsRequired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work well with children in a group setting
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Warm, patient, and positive interactions with students
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
Preferred:
  • Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required
