Job description

About the role:

As a Senior Quality Oversight Engineer, you will collaborate and act as the main Supplier Quality representative on teams to resolve complex issues. You will apply quality and engineering skills to identify, correct, and recommend solutions to supplier quality and procurement issues.

You will report to the Manager, Supplier Quality Americas and work in a remote capacity when you are not traveling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans for routine procurements to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.

  • Perform verification and acceptance activities to confirm items and services being provided by suppliers conform to Westinghouse purchase order requirements.

  • Coordinate with external parties to verify Westinghouse suppliers have implemented a Quality Assurance Program aligned with the items/services being provided.

  • Perform reviews of procurement documents to verify technical and quality requirements have been correctly translated from Westinghouse design documents and Customer contracts.

  • Follow-up on supplier corrective action, evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates closure.

  • Investigate and report on compliance with technical specifications and verify accuracy of procedures, tests and records. Review inspection and non-destructive test procedures to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Perform or observe precision measurements, physical or electrical tests on complex materials, components and systems.

  • Review bid specifications, licensing write ups, proposals, purchase order requisitions, supplier submittable, and other documentation to verify compliance with technical and Quality requirements for nuclear and non-nuclear components.

Qualifications:
 
  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent is required.

  • 3+ years of experience required with working knowledge of Supplier Quality, Quality Programs, Supply Chain, and Corrective Action Program management.

  • Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required, as is willingness to travel internationally for periods of up to three weeks, 50-75%.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
