Job Title: Subcontracts Manager

Location: Haskell, TX

Duration: 11 months (potential for extension)

Rate: Negotiable - 1.5X on OT

Per Diem: $1,050/week

Project: Data Center


Job Summary

We are seeking a Subcontracts Manager/Coordinator to support large scale data center construction projects for a leading electrical contractor. This role will focus primarily on managing electrical subcontractors, with additional coordination of select civil and site related scopes as needed.


This individual will play a key role in subcontract administration, field coordination, and ensuring subcontractors are aligned with project scope, schedule, and execution requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical construction and the ability to operate in a fast paced, highly technical project environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, issuance, and execution of subcontracts, primarily for electrical scopes (power distribution, cable installation, terminations, equipment setting, etc.)
  • Coordinate with electrical subcontractors and internal construction teams to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and deliverables
  • Assist in managing select civil or site subcontractors as required (trenching, duct banks, underground utilities, etc.)
  • Track subcontractor progress and support resolution of field issues impacting schedule or productivity
  • Assist with change management, including tracking change orders and supporting documentation
  • Maintain subcontract documentation, including agreements, insurance, compliance records, and correspondence
  • Support procurement and buyout efforts in coordination with estimating and project management teams
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on subcontractor performance, risks, and coordination items
  • Help ensure subcontractors are meeting safety, quality, and project requirements
  • Assist with cost tracking and coordination with project controls teams


Qualifications

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in construction, preferably with an electrical contractor or general contractor supporting electrical scopes
  • Experience supporting subcontract administration, procurement, or field coordination
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction practices and subcontractor workflows
  • Familiarity with civil/site work related to electrical installation (duct banks, trenching, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including electrical plans and one lines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume construction environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and construction management tools (Procore or similar preferred)
