Summary of Job Duties:Experienced financial services professional with expertise in student loan servicing, account collections, financial reconciliation, and regulatory compliance. Skilled in processing loan payments, managing deferments and cancellations, maintaining accurate financial records, and conducting collection efforts for student loans and tuition accounts. Proficient in reconciling financial data, monitoring program compliance requirements, updating policies and procedures, and generating reports to support financial operations. Strong administrative, customer service, and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in arts, Business or related field of study plus three (3) years of administrative/clerical experience within an office environment OR
  • High School Diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of administrative/clerical experience.
  • Workday Student experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft - excel, word, power point, etc.


Additional Information:

(35%)- Posts student loan payments, manages the advance files, sends/posts deferments, cancellations and paid in full letters. Processes weekly allocations from our loan/billing servicer, ECSI. Manually updates the exit status for students separating from the UAMS Rural Practice Programs. Oversees management of the Rural Practice and Primary Care program compliance requirements.

(30 %) - Performs internal collection efforts for campus-based loan programs as well as UAMS student tuition/fee charge collections.

(15%) - Assists the Financial Analyst with campus-based monthly loan reconciliations and cashflows. Performs collection agency monthly reconciliations. Maintains and updates SFS policies and procedures for changes in processes and compliance updates.

(10 %)- Answers phones, manages the filing system, sorts, processes and logs mail, scans paid in full documents and responds to emails. Runs month-end reports for reconciliations.

(10 %) -Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.
