Working Permit
Desired Qualifications:
Maintain 85 and above in all classes;
Maintain positive attendance (arrive to all classes on time, remain in class for the entire period, use bathroom passes only when necessary, miss school for legal reasons such as illness, family emergency etc.);
Maintain a positive behavioral record;
Your grades, attendance, and behavior will impact your tutoring status.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Help middle school students complete homework and class assignments;
Assist middle school students with locker, binder, and other types of organization;
Study and/or create study notes with middle schoolers as they prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes;
Read and discuss texts with middle schoolers to promote love of reading as well as reading comprehension;
Model appropriate and respectful behavior;
Project a positive attitude about school work, studying, and people (staff and students) within the school community;
Help keep the tutoring classroom clean and orderly throughout the tutoring sessions.
