- Three (3) years documented experience in a clerical or paraprofessional position
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform essential functions and tasks which may include exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force as frequently as necessary; lifting, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing, if required
- Satisfactory clearance of a criminal history records check and drug screening
ADDITIONAL DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced knowledge and experience in data collection, management, and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications (Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Docs).
- Ability to analyze data, maintain confidential records, create reports, and use technology effectively to support organizational goals and compliance requirements.
PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs advanced word processing and Excel functions
- Sorts and files correspondence, reports, waivers, and other materials
- Maintains budget and understands payment procedures
- Maintains filing system, including confidential files
- Processes incoming correspondence as directed
- Maintains effective working relationship with other employees, parents, and community members
- Orders and maintains office supplies
- Computes data from listing, reports, or other records; assembles data in appropriate form for use in completing required reports
- Types and proofreads letters, memoranda, reports and other assigned material
- Scans documents for paperless storage
- Sorts and distributes mail
- Screens and refers office callers; takes telephone messages
- Cross trains co-workers in job related responsibilities
- Schedules and prepares meetings/workshops for school counselors, YMHAT trainings, MTSSBehavior, Threat Management, and individuals from outside agencies (DCF, Heartland for Children, Peace River Center, Tri-County Health and Human Services, DJJ, Youth & Family Advocates)
- Directs callers, visitors, school administrators, teachers and other individuals
- Supports psychologists, social workers and mental health counselors with Medicaid documentation
- Records YMHAT required training documentation in personnel database
- Submits training records for YMHAT training to The National Council
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs all other duties as assigned
TERM: Length of contract and number of hours worked are determined by specific allocation as approved annually during planning-budgeting process
APPRAISAL: Performance will be appraised annually in accordance with The School Board of Highlands County policies
PAYGRADE: According to the School Board of Highlands County Non-instructional Support Personnel Salary Schedule
