2026 - 2027 School Year
Position Description:ย 
Hampshire High School is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed leader who will carry out the duties as the Senior Class Sponsor.ย 



Helps organize events for the Senior class and school. Must be organized and proactive with students, staff, and the community.
Qualifications:
Experience leading students and previous experience is preferred but not required.
Job Expectations:
In order to give our students experience in the workings of an organization and learn leadership skills, we would like each of our classes' to do the following:
1. ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Meet at least once a month with a printed agenda, at a regular publicized time thatย is known to the Secretary of the general student council.
2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Oversee attendance, which is taken by the vice president. A copy of theย attendance and the minutes should be given to the Secretary of the general studentย council within threeย days of your meeting.
3.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Monitor the officers to make sure they fulfill their job descriptions from the constitution.
4.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Determine with your class by September 15thย  the class's plans for homecomingย and make them known to the secretary of the general student council.ย  Allย fundraisers require approval by the Activities Director.
5.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Elections will be determined by the Executive board of the general student council usually within two weeks of Homecoming.ย 
6.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Encourage your officers to become a complete member of the regular Student Council by not only being involved in your classes' activities, but also an active member of the general student council.
7.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Help your class members as a member of the student council so that their actions in the school reflect upon the entire group.ย  Poor grades, discipline problems, etc are all things that reflect negatively upon the entire student council.
8.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Learn the concept of "Legacy", both in the short-term (in high school), and the long-term (after High school). While in school, each class should be thinking and working at having qualified candidates for officers each year (short-term legacy). And while in high school, each of our classes should be considering some type of class gift (long-term ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  legacy) that they could raise money for and leave as aย memory.
9.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Each of the classes, as members of the Student Council, needs to be responsible citizens.ย  Helping other groups with things like Prom, supportingย ย Extra-curricular activities, volunteering, etc.
10.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Grade level sponsors will meet with the Student Council sponsors at least once a month.ย
