What You'll Do
Managers are integral to our success. You will be responsible for developing more junior team members on projects and empowering the leadership team's account strategies. You will also be a key driver in structuring and delivering strong work to our clients across a broad range of industrial sectors. More specifically, you will:
  • Drive project processes from start-to-finish ensuring output meets Stout's standards for quality of insight and client impact
  • Support the analysis of industrial market trends, competitive dynamics, supply chain developments, end-market demand drivers, and technological innovation to identify opportunities and inform investment decisions
  • Oversee and conduct original research, contact development, primary research, and executive-level interviewing with manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, customers, and industry experts to develop unique insight regarding market dynamics and strategic decisions
  • Oversee and support the development of best-in-class materials that exceed client expectations (in terms of research depth, analytical rigor, and visualization)
  • Partner with clients on engagements by cultivating a collaborative environment and providing high-touch service
  • Develop mastery of Stout's research methodologies, analytical approaches, and expertise within industrial sectors such as, agriculture, oil & gas, industrial equipment and heavy machinery, building products, packaging, plastics, and metals & specialty materials
  • Serve as a true project manager across engagements, from scoping and work planning through execution and final delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with Stout's subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders, applying strong business acumen to anticipate client needs and ensure engagement outcomes meet or exceed expectations
  • Coach and nurture junior staff and provide team members with developmental and fulfilling opportunities on projects
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance research, streamline deliverable preparation, and improve overall efficiency and insight.

What You Bring
  • BA or BS required with a clear track record of academic excellence in fields such as Economics, Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • Master's degree in business, management, finance, engineering, or other relevant degree preferred
  • Three to five years of prior experience in consulting and/or industry experience, including experience supporting industrial clients in growth strategy, market intelligence, or other professional services to industrial clients
  • An aptitude for networking and executive-level interviewing
  • Well-honed business acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, writing, and critical-thinking skills
  • Work ethic, dedicated, organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
  • Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Foreign language capabilities are a plus
  • Familiarity with or interest in using AI tools and technology to enhance productivity, research, and analysis.
